Introductory Blog

This is our fist blog entry so it will be a little short.  I did some internet research and the word “blog” is a contraction of “web log.”  Although I am not sure of the exact date of the first blog, I am sure that I am older than it is!  It can take on several forms or purposes such as for advertisement, political commentary, online diary, etc.
What form will ours take?  We will try to provide useful information and perspectives on aspects of massage therapy, bodywork treatments, and esthetics. It will be a little more personal than strict clinical definitions of terms or what you might get from Wikipedia, and hopefully a little entertaining as well.  I’ll try to stay away from a business presentation format with PowerPoint slides and graphs, although that has been a large part of my past experience. We won’t use it for advertising – you can look at the rest of our website for that!  Future blogs will be  on the massage profession itself, different types of massage, esthetic tips, and other items that come up.  The frequency of our blogs is still up in the air, but initially look for a new one once or twice per month.  If you have specific questions or topics you want to see addressed, please email us.
Next topic – “Massageaphobia”.  Check back soon!

Many people find that they have improved posture when they visit the masseuse regularly. When you think about it, this makes a lot of sense. When your muscles and deep tissues are hurting, you tend to change your poster so that you can be as comfortable as possible.
